WHEN THE QUALITY OF YOUR LAWYER COUNTS . . . Lanham & Blackwell, P.A., has achieved the highest rating a law firm can professionally achieve: an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating. What does this mean to you and why is an “AV” rated law firm important to you as you’re looking to place your trust in a law firm? The independent legal publishing company of Martindale-Hubbell has been publishing “Legal Ability and General Recommendation Ratings” for lawyers and law firms in the United States and Canada for over 100 years. This nationally-administered Legal Ability Rating is based on the standard of ability for the place or area where the law firm or lawyer practices and takes into consideration experience, nature of practice and relevant qualifications. A firm or individual lawyer with a rating of “A” in Legal Ability is generally recognized as having “Very High to Preeminent” abilities as evaluated by other lawyers and judges in the geographical region. The highest General Recommendation Rating is “V.” For a firm or individual lawyer to achieve a general evaluation of “V” means that he, she or the firm, is “Very Highly” recommended by the legal profession in their geographical area. A combined rating of “AV” is the highest possible rating that either an individual lawyer or a law firm can achieve --- it shows that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence. He or she has usually practiced law for many years, and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity. Individual lawyers with ratings of “BV” have exemplary reputations and well-established practices with a significant client base and high professional standing. | |
